Harrison is an experienced public policy manager with regulatory and economic expertise. Prior to joining dandolo, Harrison was a Managing Principal at MartinJenkins, New Zealand’s leading public policy consulting firm. At MartinJenkins Harrison worked across public policy, evaluation, research, strategy and organisational design.

Examples of recent relevant project Harrison has been involved in include:

  • Supporting a Jobs and Skills Council to improve aviation maintenance skills pathways.

  • An effectiveness and efficiency review of the Board of Health New Zealand, New Zealand’s public provider of health and hospital services.

  • Developing a framework for the New Zealand Government to assess the fiscal and economic impacts of climate change.

  • Advising on the legislative reform of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, including implementing a deposit insurance scheme and reforming the framework for bank crisis management.

  • Evaluating the New Zealand Treasury’s innovative pilots for annual budget processes in the justice and natural resource sectors.

  • A rapid review of lessons learned from regulatory responses to COVID-19 for the New Zealand government.

  • Developing the New Zealand government’s first statutory report on state of the population’s wellbeing.

Harrison also spent a number of years working at the New Zealand Treasury where he worked on financial sector legislation reform, economic and fiscal strategy and economic forecasting.
